Youth Employment Systems (YES) Rwanda is a non-governmental organization registered in Rwanda since 2004 and is a member of the fifty-five YES campaign country networks around the world.

An initiative of the Education Development Centre Inc. (EDC) based in Boston USA, to create sustainable livelihoods for millions of young people all over the world between 2002 and 2012.

The youth Employment summit was launched by over 1600 delegates from 120 countries including 45 ministers. The campaigns' objectives were to develop the capacity of young people to create sustainable livelihood and to establish an entrepreneurial culture where young people work toward self-employment.

Our Vision: To realize employment of youth in Rwanda through partnerships which create and enabling environment for job creation.

Our Mission: To support the development of youth employment policy and programs that gives the youth of Rwanda opportunities for decent and productive employment through active participation, research, advocacy and livelihood generation

Our Objectives: To build the capacity of young people to create sustainable livelihood; To establish an entrepreneurial culture where young persons and youth work toward self-employment;

YES Rwanda interventions are through four program areas which are:

  • - Policy Research and Advocacy (PORA);
  • - Communication and Outreach (CO);
  • - Business and entrepreneurship development (BED);
  • - Youth Livelihoods and Education (YLE);
